Juniors won the competition during brunch today on the Quad at Palo Alto High School during Spirit Week’s last best-dressed contest, with sophomores in second place, and freshmen and seniors in third and fourth place, respectively.
Junior winners Zoe Quinlan and Elif Dogan won by wearing banana suits, sunglasses and yellow leggings.
According to Quinlan, she has been doing as much as she can to show spirit.
“I’ve been going all-out and wearing as much yellow as possible,” Quinlan said.
According to junior class senator Courtney Taylor, the juniors have been wearing more than just simple outfits, which has been helping them win dress-up competitions.
“The juniors have been super spirited,” Taylor said. “Something I’ve noticed is that the juniors have been wearing full costumes, rather than just outfits, which is definitely helping us.”
Freshman Courtney Bond said she has been doing everything she can to help the freshmen class.
“I’ve been dressing up everyday and doing face paint,” Bond said. “I’ve been to all the rallies, trying to compete in the games and cheering on my class.”
Bond said the energy is a great part of Spirit Week.
“I love the energy because everyday participates and it’s just really fun,” Bond said.
Sophomore Felippa Correa said the juniors will win due to them going all-out with spirit.
“I hope the sophomores are going to win,” Correa said. “But the juniors will, they’re super spirited.”
