The Palo Alto High School Class of 2016 is saying “Ahoy!” to its new theme of pirates for Spirit Week this year.
The juniors have voted for the theme of pirates over choices such as “El Dorado,” “Great Gatsby” and “money” for Spirit Week 2014, according to junior Vice President Eli Friedlander. The online vote ended earlier this morning.
“I’m really excited about this theme, and our float should be amazing,” Friedlander said.
The Class of 2017’s theme, announced last week, will be “red card,” meaning sophomores will dress in soccer-related attire.
The senior theme is expected to be announced sometime next week, following a class vote. The freshmen are currently in the process of organizing their Spirit Week theme ideas.
More information to follow as themes become available.
