The Palo Alto High School girls’ lacrosse team (1-0) is adjusting to the loss of last year’s seniors in order to come out strong with its second pre-season game today.
The Vikings will face one of their hardest challenges this year when they play Saint Ignatius High School (11-6-1 overall last year) at 4 p.m. today at Saint Ignatius.
Keeping possession throughout the game will be the main goal for the Vikes, according to junior midfielder Paige Anderson.
“It’s supposed to be pretty tough but as long as we go into the game with the plan to get possession as much as possible we can definitely stand a chance,” Anderson said. “Our season is going well so far. We won our first game, so that’s good.”
The Vikings won their first game against Menlo Atherton High School, 15-8, last week and have their next game at Oak Ridge High School on Friday, March 14th.
