The head of Information and Technology for the Palo Alto Unified School District has received a presidential nomination to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, according to a Jan. 30 press release from the White House.
Ann Dunkin has worked as a technology director at PAUSD since 2009. Previously, she held various positions at Hewlett Packard, according to her profile on LinkedIn.
Among notable actions at PAUSD, Dunkin recently helped to make the switch from Inclass to Schoology at the beginning of the 2012 school year. Both are online portals to facilitate student-teacher communication outside of school hours.
The presidential nomination, one of eleven included in the Jan. 30 press release, has been sent over to the Senate, according to the press release.
