With representatives from over 100 colleges and universities, Palo Alto’s annual college fair will be held Monday evening at Palo Alto High School.

The fair will feature over 125 colleges who will pitch their schools to prospective applicants. The representatives from each college will be available to answer questions and provide information about academics and campus culture, among other topics, according to Paly college advisor Sandra Cernobori.

“It’s an opportunity for students and their parents to browse or target specific kinds of schools,” Cernobori said. “The colleges typically use this as an opportunity to tell you a little bit about their school or share some information.”

While the fair is directed towards juniors and seniors looking for colleges to apply to, it is open to all students.

“[The fair is] for some of the students who were not able to come to the college [representative] visits,” Cernobori said. “It’s another opportunity for [juniors and seniors] to possibly connect with the admissions representative.”

Public universities, private universities, liberal arts colleges and international schools will be represented, according to Cernobori.

“Its an opportunity to expose students to colleges they might not have heard of,” Cernobori said.

The Monday night festivities will include an out-of-state college presentation from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by a financial aid presentation from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Dance Studio in the Small Gym.
