Coming off a big win at Mountain View High School on Thursday, Palo Alto High School hopes to keep its momentum going. The Paly girls’ volleyball team (12-4 overall, 2-1 in league play) is set to face Monta Vista (2-9, 0-4) tonight at home.
This will be the Viking’s fourth league game. The Vikings are currently sitting in fourth place in the SCVAL league standings.
Junior outside hitter Jade Schoenberger said that the team is in a good position to win tonight.
“If we play our game then the score will fall in our favor,” Schoenberger said.
The Vikings are 2-1 in their last three games, with wins against Mountain View and Los Gatos high schools. The only league loss they suffered was against undefeated league opponent Homestead High School (10-6, 3-0)
“We need to work on bringing more energy to the court and not playing down, but playing as if every team were Homestead,” Schoenberger said.
The Paly vs. Monta Vista match will start at 6:45 p.m. tonight in the Paly gym.
