With the current partial shutdown of the U.S. federal government, many people in the Palo Alto High School community are out of work, childcare or are otherwise unable to provide for their families.

If you’ve been impacted by the current government shutdown, we want to hear from you. Maybe you’ve been furloughed and have a little more time on your hands to visit with us? Perhaps you’ve had your hours reduced or had a contract not renewed? A passport delay? A mortgage application refused? Perhaps your children are going hungry because the food assistance program they rely upon isn’t functioning?

In any case, we’d love to hear from you. Maybe you could visit with our staff, or we could send a reporter to visit you.

We see this as an opportunity to understand our community better — and its relationship with the federal government.
