The Palo Alto High School boys’ water polo team (1,1) will take on the Mountain View High School Spartans (2,0) this evening at the Paly pool.
The Spartans are expected to be strong again this year, according to Paly senior captain Ethan Look.
“They didn’t really lose anyone off their roster and they were already insanely good last year, so we are looking to come out tough and play four quarters against them,” Look said.
The Vikings are looking to focus on defense to allow their offense to do well, according to Look.
“Our goal is always to hold our opponent to six goals in a game,” Look said. “If we do that, we have the offensive power to win, so that is our primary focus.”
The boys take on the Spartans at 6:45 p.m. tonight at Paly.
“It will be a tough game, but if we stay focused and concentrate on defense, we will come out with the win,” Look said.
