Palo Alto High School’s annual Back to School Dance will be held at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night on the Quad.
The dance is Hawaiian themed and snacks will be provided.
According to Student Activities Director Matt Hall, the first 200 people to arrive will get free leis from the Associated Student Body student representatives.
Although Paly dances haven’t been well attended in recent years, junior Maya Ben-Efraim, an ASB spirit commissioner, expects this dance to be popular among students.
“Everyone’s going,” Ben-Efraim said. “This dance is going to be huge.”
The tropical theme and free snacks have caught the eyes of many students, including sophomore Claire Krugler.
“A lot of sophomores are excited to go all out for the Hawaiian theme,” Krugler said.
Tickets are free with an ASB card or five dollars without. If students do not yet have their ASB sticker, ticket sellers will have an updated list of students who have purchased their cards. All attendees are required to show their student ID to enter the dance.
Hall expects that with good attendance, students should have a great time.
In the end, “the dance depends on you guys,” he said.
