The Paly Voice does not publish the names of minors under speculation of the law.
A police force was present on the Palo Alto High School campus today at brunch for an unexpected reason; they were not there with the intent of apprehending a “streaker,” but to quell a supposed gun threat, according to Principal Phil Winston.
An email was sent to the Paly administration yesterday under the name of a Paly student, who spoke with The Paly Voice under the condition that he or she not be named. The email claimed that a second Paly student was planning to bring a firearm to school with malicious intent.
Winston offered no comment on the matter, but reaffirmed students’ safety on campus.
“The issue has been resolved,” Winston said. “There are no safety concerns at this time.”
