The construction worker who fell from the roof of a building under construction earlier today at Palo Alto High School is set to be released from Stanford Hospital tomorrow morning, according to Palo Alto Unified School District Chief Business Officer Robert Golton.
According to Golton, the worker, identified only as James, suffered a cut forehead, torn spleen and bruised lung from the fall.
“We believe that he will recover from his injuries,” Golton said. “He is very lucky since the fall was over 20 feet.”
James, a sheet metal worker, fell around brunch this morning while working on the roof of the new math/social science building under construction.
More information to come.
