Palo Alto High School’s Environmental Initiative Club will host a SAT/ACT and college prep book drive during lunch this week from Monday to Friday on the Quad.
Students who have completed test prep will have the opportunity to drop off their old books on Monday, Dec. 3, and other students looking for books can pick them up the rest of the week.
“Our club … is working to spread awareness of environmental issues throughout Paly and make the Paly community a greener one,” junior club President Heather Strathern said. “Our club realized the huge amount of paper waste SAT, ACT and other prep books create and so we felt it necessary to do something.”
The donated books can be in any condition; those that are not usable will be recycled, according to Strathern.
“Instead of throwing away old prep books Paly students have an easy way to be greener,” Strathern said.
