Palo Alto High School’s Associated Student Body will host the annual Club Day during an extended lunch period Friday on the quad.
According to ASB Vice President Maddie Kuppe, over seventy clubs have submitted applications for evaluation. There will be a mandatory lunch meeting for all clubs Tuesday in the Student Activities Office.
“[The meeting] will help us see if all those clubs are truly taking the process seriously enough to follow through and successfully participate,” Kuppe said.
As per usual, Club Day allows students to browse the many club offerings and also gives club officers the opporunity to recruit new members. A free lunch will also be provided.
ASB hopes that the turnout at this year’s Club Day will be greater than that of previous years.
“We’re trying our best with publicity this year to get more people out on the quad and listening to what clubs have to say,” Kuppe said.
ASB is currently arranging the layout of club tables.
“In the past, there have been countless complaints about not being near certain clubs or being too far off to the side,” Kuppe said. “By accepting requests and trying my best to incorporate all of them, I plan to minimize these woes and keep the whole process as fun and purely beneficial as possible.”
