Hot chocolate will be sold for either 50 cents or a dollar to break even, according to ADR president Jake Stern.
The event, Hot Chocolate for Change, is an awareness event and not a fundraiser. The hot chocolate cups will have pieces of information pasted on them about people affected by natural disasters like the Haiti earthquake, according to Stern.
“It’s an awareness event, so the money actually will not specifically be for any organization,” Stern said.
The ADR club has been holding various awareness events for the past three years; however, this is the first time it will sell hot chocolate at Paly.
“We hope to inspire students and their families to be charitable and feel a greater sense of responsibility before they leave for winter break,” Stern said.
