Breaking with tradition, Palo Alto High School will hold Picture Day on the Monday before school starts.
The administration will hold Picture Day earlier this year in order to “recapture instructional time — helping students and staff ease back into school in a more seamless fashion later in the week,” according to a letter sent home to students from the administration.
In addition to Picture Day, Associated Student Body identification cards and class schedules will be distributed to students.
Sophomores, juniors and seniors should first report to the library at their designated times (see below) to have their pictures taken and receive their ID cards before going to the quad to pick up their schedules.
Freshmen should report to their teacher adviser’s classroom at 8 a.m., where their advisers will assist with questions pertaining to class schedules and the first day of school. Advisers will then bring their students to the library to have their pictures taken and receive their schedules.
Students who are unable to come to school on Monday can pick up their schedules from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday in the quad.
Picture day and schedule pick-up times:
Freshmen: 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Sophomores: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Juniors: 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Seniors: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
