Next year, Paly students will have the opportunity to perform in staged readings of current Broadway plays and a Shakespeare play in the Haymarket theater.
Theater teacher Kathleen Woods announced the plays for Paly’s next theater season on Saturday evening at the Senior Showcase, an annual evening to honor the seniors that participate in Paly theater.
This fall, former theater teacher Kristen Lo will work with students on readings of plays currently on Broadway. The performance of staged readings will consist of scenes from God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza, Dividing the Estate by Horton Foote, and reasons to be pretty by Neil Le Butte.
Paly will produce Almost, Maine by John Cariani in November as the fall play.
Next year’s spring play will be William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
