“I think there’s been like 16 cases in the U.S. right now. I think 50 people in Mexico have died. It’s been called a health emergency.” — Vedika Ahuja, junior
“I just heard the name today. I don’t know anything about it at all.” — Davante Adams, sophomore
“I know it’s killed like 100 people in Mexico.” — Brianna Thomasson, freshman
“Swine flu originated from Mexico, and swine means pig. It might be the next avian flu. It could be very dangerous.” — Min Kim, junior

“It’s turning into a pandemic that started in Mexico and it’s in Sacramento right now, which is really close to where we live. No one’s actually died in the U.S.” — Alex Lan, freshman
