The Paly Voice asked students what they think about Paly renovation plans that are under consideration.
“I’m looking forward to the journalism building, although I’ll probably have graduated by then.” — Caroline Shi, junior
“Pretty cool. I’m excited.” — Lucas Brooks, freshman
“I think it’s good to have nice facilities that will be useful for students at Paly.” — Michael Augustine, freshman
“I think a lot of the renovations are useful and we need them, but for me, the placement of the theater is a big concern because moving the school entrance so that it would be at the back of the new theater would not be aesthetically pleasing.” — Anna Stang, senior
“It’ll be great for everyone concerned. The turf will be easier for P.E. classes because we can actually hold classes when it’s a bit wet outside. They [the students] won’t get so muddy.” — Stacy Kofman, athletic trainer
“I think they shouldn’t change anything because I like the way the school is already.” — Laurie Maemura, sophomore
“I haven’t heard much about it.” — Alex Vahidsafa, junior
“I think that turfing the field will be good actually, because watering the fields takes a lot of water and money, and the El Camino field is pretty crappy, so it’s a win-win situation.” — Sam Tompkins-Jenkins, senior
“I think we really need the turf because the upper field is terrible and can cause a lot of injuries.” — Lydia Guo, freshman
“I’m really not sure. It will be a good place to learn.” — John Richardson, sophomore
