Sophomore Belle Doughman is the author of Frills and Freckles.

The blog’s main focus is Doughman’s unique fashion style and advice on how to use basic pieces to create different looks. According to Doughman, her friends and family have always pushed her to start a blog. However, surprisingly the main reason Doughman started blogging was her orthodontist.

“Every time I would go she would ask ‘Did you start your blog yet?’” Doughman said. “My orthodontist inspired me.”

Her style is mainly inspired through the blogger Atlantic Pacific. Doughman describes the style as “ultra feminine, but with a unique modern perspective.”

According to Doughman, blogging took a lot more time than she first expected, but she hopes to not only post more in the feature but also develop a bigger audience.

“I want to have an audience that I feel I could help with style or be inspired by my style,” Doughman said.
