The Palo Alto Police Department has ended negotiations with a man suspected of suicidal thoughts after more than five hours of negotations with the man from outside his residence in the 800 block of Sutter Ave.
According to Press Information Officer Marianna Villaescusa, the man was taken into police custody at 11 p.m. after a SWAT team entered his house and executed a room-by-room search. The police radio indicated that the man had possibly been in the garage of his home when the SWAT team found him.
There were no injuries in the arrest and the man complied with the SWAT team willingly, according to police.
