Three short power outages left Paly students in the dark for about a of 15 minutes this afternoon. Paly’s server, "Paly 1," is still experiencing some technical difficulties, though the ramifications of these problems are currently unknown, according to Doug Bertain, Paly Engineering Tech teacher and CAD Instructor above, who is currently working to iron out any difficulties.

"The cause of the outages is currently being investigated by the Palo Alto Unified School District," Paly Assistant Principal Chuck Merrit, said shortly after the outages. "District Maintenance doesn’t think [the outage] is connected to the city," Merritt added later. "Our transformer’s breaker tripped and we don’t know what exactly caused it, but some work was being done on the football [field] lights and the gym."
