The Paly Voice asked students and faculty to describe their reaction to Sacha Baron Cohen’s new movie “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan,” the number one movie in America for a second staight weekend, according to cnn.com.
“I thought it was kind of stupid and it wasn’t funny. It’s just not my kind of humor.” -Skyler Cummins, sophomore
“I can’t really decide whether I think it’s funny or offensive.” -Ilana Sheats, sophomore
“It was funny. He [Sasha Cohen] is Jewish so he can say that stuff.” -Sam Herzog, freshman
“I thought it was possibly the greatest movie I have ever seen. I’ve watched Borat for a while and I was glad he came out with a movie.” -Adam Zernick, sophomore
