The data below show live air quality updates for Palo Alto from epa.gov. As a result of the Camp Fire in Butte County, air quality around the Bay Area has many concerned. Many schools, including Menlo Atherton High School and Castilleja School, remain closed, yet all public school districts within the Santa Clara County’s purview remain open.
![Shounak Dharap, president of the school board of Palo Alto Unified School District, announced Friday morning that Superintendent Don Austin separated from his superintendent position at PAUSD. Corbin Dodd, an Ethnic Studies and AP Seminar teacher at Palo Alto High School, said that Austin's separation from the district surprised him and his colleagues.
