ClickPA, a community group founded by Palo Alto teens, will host a job fair in the afternoon on April 15 at the Mitchell Park Library.
The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and aims to introduce students to job opportunities and summer activities.
According to the organization’s website, ClickPA’s founders “felt that teens are unaware about the wealth of activities available around Palo Alto … [and it] strives to empower teens to get involved in their communities.”
According to Palo Alto High School freshman and ClickPA staff member Amy Yu, the job fair will introduce students to volunteer experiences, internship opportunities and summer activities. Additionally, students will have the option to attend free workshops tailored to help them gain skills necessary to obtain a job in the real world.
“We will have exciting new companies such as Steve & Kate’s Camp, Gott’s and many more,” Yu said. “Even if you don’t feel you have the skills to intern yet, we have free workshops on resume writing and interviewing tips to help.”
The fair will also feature a raffle in which participants can win prizes including a Hydroflask and Starbucks gift card, according to the event flyer.
“It will be a fun day with music and an opportunity to get experience taking to companies,” Yu said.
