Palo Alto High School Associated Student Body will host its annual presidential and vice presidential candidate debates, starting at 1:50 p.m. tomorrow in the Media Arts Center.
ASB vice president candidates (juniors Candace Wang, Maya Lathi and sophomore Noga Hurwitz) will go first, with their debate kicking off at 1:50 p.m., followed by the ASB presidential candidates (juniors Anmol Nagar and Brian Tracy) at 2:10 p.m.
According to current Senior Class President Eli Friedlander, the main purpose of the debate is to provide additional information about the candidates and their viewpoints.
“Debates offer a great way for students to learn more about the candidates and their stances,” Friedlander said. “Elections give students a chance to have a direct impact on who their class officers are.”
Voting starts at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at this site and will close at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
