The Palo Alto High School baseball team (6-1, 2-0) triumphed over Mountain View High School (2-5-1, 0-2), 9-2, in its first league game of the season.
According to MaxPreps, the Vikings scored their first eight runs in the first inning, kicking off with a strong start that the Spartans failed to overcome. Several players scored one run each, with the exception of junior infielder Riley Schoeben, who scored two.
