In a game between the first and second ranked teams in the league, the Palo Alto Vikings lost to the Los Altos Eagles, 15-8, today.The game started with a flurry of goals, as Los Altos took a 2-1 lead within the first minute.The Eagles dominated the opening period and pulled away, ending the first period up, 6-1.The Vikings were unable to catch up and were never within three goals of tying the game for the remaining three periods.Sophomore driver Will Conner scored five goals. Freshman two-meter Nelson Perla-Ward added two goals and junior utility player Bret Pinsker had one for the Vikings.The Eagles were league champions last year and defeated the Vikings on Sept. 28, 9-8. The Vikings will play their next game against the Agoura High School Chargers at 1:40 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, at Palo Alto High School.
