Yearbooks arrived last week and will be distributed to students the week of May 31 to June 3 in room 101 from after school until 4 p.m., according to Madrono editor-in-chief Jodi So.
The yearbook staff will hand out yearbooks to seniors on Tuesday, juniors on Wednesday, sophomores on Thursday, and freshmen on Friday according to So. The scattered distribution schedule for each grade will make issuing the yearbooks to the students easier for the staff.
“It [the new distribution schedule] spreads out the distribution times for each grade,” So said. “It makes the distribution easier and less hectic.”
Students should come prepared with their student identification cards when picking up their yearbooks, according to So. They should also make sure that all textbook and library book fines have been taken care of.
“We cannot give out yearbooks if they [students] have overdue books and no identification,” So said.
Students must pick up their yearbooks themselves, as identification will be checked. If they are unable to obtain yearbooks on their designated day, students can get the yearbooks at any later time.
“You can have a parent get it for you if you are sick for the entire week, but you cannot have a friend get if for you,” So said.
Unlike last year, Madrono will not provide a yearbook supplement this year.
“The student body did not show enough interest in the yearbook supplement so we decided not to make it this year,” So said.
Editor’s Note: The yearbook staff decided to distribute yearbooks to all students starting Wednesday, June 1, according to Editor-in-Chief Jodi So.
