Associated Student Body presidential candidates Uma Veerappan and Tremaine Kirkman discussed their plans to revitalize school dances during a debate hosted by the The Paly Voice today, in room 213 of Palo Alto High School.
Kirkman suggested hiring a different disc jockey to save money, implementing a more effective mouth-to-mouth marketing campaign and providing entertainment beyond dancing on the sides of the dance floor. Veerappan stressed the need for further surveys of Paly students to gauge their desires for school dances, more posters and flyers to advertise dances and the use of other incentives to attract students to dances.
During the debate, Kirkman and Veerappan also spoke to a broad range of issues ranging from prom to parking permits.
