The Associated Student Body is considering moving the ASB class from fourth period to zero period, which takes place before school, to allow ASB students to have more flexibility in their class scheduling.
According to Student Activities Director Kindel Launer, ASB is currently exploring ways to structure the leadership class so that its students will not have to struggle with deciding which classes they take. Many ASB members have had issues with course selection to cater to ASB.
“I don’t want them to have to choose between being in ASB or taking a certain class,” Launer said. “There are some courses such as French 3 or Band that are only offered during certain periods, and I don’t want to limit that option for leadership students.”
Launer has yet to discuss the possibility of a zero period leadership course with the school board or ASB’s counterpart at Henry M. Gunn High School.
More information to come.
