With no school on Monday and College Awareness Day on Wednesday, next week strays yet again from the standard C-A-B-T-B schedule that normal weeks follow at Palo Alto High School.
Students and staff have Monday off for a local holiday. Tuesday will be a C day, with 50-minute periods featuring all seven classes. Wednesday has an alternate schedule for College Awareness Day, Thursday will be a regular T day schedule with even blocks and Tutorial, and Friday will be a regular B day with odd blocks, according to the student planning calendar on paly.net.
On Wednesday, school will start at 8:15 a.m. for all freshmen, sophomores and juniors, who will take various standardized tests according to grade level. Seniors should arrive by 9:00 a.m. for the workshop they signed up for in advance through a survey on Naviance. Everyone will be released at 12:30 p.m., with free food and music on the quad to follow, according assistant principal Kim Diorio.
