Just as Palo Alto Unified School District Board of Education members are preparing to vote tonight on a long-term weighted GPA reporting practice, administrators say it is too early to say whether course selection data for the 2017-2018 school year demonstrate a general trend related to requests for weighted courses.

Despite the tomfoolery at Wednesday’s track meet against the Gunn High School Titans, Palo Alto High School's team still managed to finish its final dual meet of the season on a high note.
With seconds left on the clock, Palo Alto High School girls' soccer team member senior defender Talia Malchin attempted one last desperate shot on goal off of a corner kick in an effort to break the tie with the Los Gatos Wildcats (8-3-1, 2-1-1), but the ball hit the crossbar of the goal. Despite high pressure from the Paly team's (8-0-3, 2-0-3) offense, the team was unable to capitalize on key moments in its scoreless draw, 0-0, against the Wildcats on Thursday at Paly.
