After a riveting, 3-2, loss to Mountain View High School in the Central Coast Section championship match last season, the Palo Alto High School girls’ soccer team hopes to make another playoff run despite the loss of key seniors.
The Palo Alto High School girls’ water polo team (14-16, 4-8) concluded its season with a loss to Leland High School in the second round of the Central Coast Section (CCS) playoffs on Nov. 5 at a neutral location.
The Palo Alto High School boys’ water polo team (16-9, 12-2) came out short with a 10-9 loss to Gunn High School (16-6, 11-o) in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League finals on Saturday at Los Altos High School.
The Paly boys’ water polo team (4-3, 2-1) fought hard with intensity and aggressiveness, which even led to an ejection. However, the Vikings fell to crosstown opposition Gunn Titans (3-1, 3-0) yesterday at Gunn, with a score of 8-4.
The Palo Alto High School girls' golf team is looking to return to the Central Coast Section finals and the California Interscholastic Federation Championship with the help of rising freshmen and veteran players.
