The Mitchell Park Library will host several high school study sessions known as the ‘Finals Cram Slams,’ which are open to students who are looking for a place to study with their peers.

This will happen on Monday, Dec. 12 and Tuesday, Dec. 13. both from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

According to the City of Palo Alto website, Mitchell Park Library personnel will “provide snacks and activities to de-stress in between studying including visits from therapy dogs.”

The Palo Alto community suggests that the Mitchell Park Library aims to provide a welcoming place for students to study and help decrease stress during this anxious time of the year.

Palo Alto High School junior Rahul Sankar expressed excitement toward the opportunity.

“I’m going to the Finals Cram Slam because a lot of my friends are going and it will be a great opportunity to ask them questions,” Sankar said. “It should be a good time.”

Other options to find a quiet place to study are the Downtown Palo Alto Library and Rinconada Library. Described in both libraries websites, they will provide students with materials such as textbooks and note cards.

According to the City of Palo Alto website, students wishing to participate in these activities must bring a valid high school ID.
