Palo Alto High School’s Girls’ lacrosse team (11-1, 12-4) will move on to the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League playoffs next week after beating the Los Gatos High School Wildcats (3-8, 8-8), 16-8, Friday night on the Vikings’ senior night.

This year, the Vikings are graduating six seniors: Ami Drez, Sama Rao, Olivia Peeps, Andrea Clerici-Hermandinger, Kristen DeStefano and Julia Kwasnick.

“It hasn’t really hit me yet that this is my last home game,” senior Ami Drez said. “But we’re hosting a game for SCVAL’s so we still have one last time to play on our home field.”

The Vikings will take on the Leland High School Chargers (6-7, 9-7) in the SCVAL playoffs at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
