Voice presents: Secret Santa Town and Country gift guide

The holiday season has arrived, meaning the arrival of the season of Secret Santa gift giving. Many Palo Alto High School clubs, sports teams, publications and students organize Secret Santa random draws in which people must secretly buy gifts for the person to whom they have been assigned. So, The Paly Voice is here to help you, with a quick Town and Country Shopping Center shopping guide for Secret Santas, Secret Dinosaurs, and White Elephants — all with a $10 price limit.

8. Sockmonkey Ornament ($7.25 from Urban Nest)

This cute ornament would be perfect for any Christmas tree or backpack. Who couldn’t use a little bit of fun in their decorations?

7. Ferrero Rocher ($4.99 from CVS)

Fererro Rocher is a holiday classic. This hazelnut treat will not disappoint your Secret Santa, or his taste buds.

6. Merry Brite Reindeer Dolls ($4.99 from CVS)

Who wouldn’t love to have a reindeer doll? This fuzzy buddy will keep your Secret Santa cozy throughout the holidays. With many different varieties there are lots of choices.

5. “I’ve Been Good!” Santa Hat ($4.99 from CVS)

A classic Santa hat — it’s festive, and your Secret Santa will most likely enjoy wearing it to get in the holiday spirit.

4. Kara’s Cupcake ($3.25 from Kara’s Cupcakes)

Everyone loves Kara’s. And what better way to mix the holiday season with some tasty treats than a Christmas tree cupcake from right across the street?

3. Extra Dark Chocolate Wedges ($3.49 from Trader Joe’s)

You can’t go wrong with a little bit of chocolate; it’s a nice treat on these cold winter days. The nice hand-held size of the container makes it easy to carry around and easy to deliver.

2. “Christmas Standing Elf” ($9.99 each from CVS)

If you have one of those people for whom you have absolutely no idea what to buy, a 24-inch elf is bound to get some laughs, at the very least. If nothing more, an elf can make a great holiday decoration that can remind your Secret Santa of you yearly.

1. Owl Ornament ($9.75 from Urban Nest)

What better way to put a smile on your Secret Santa’s face than an adorable furry owl ornament? Hanging from a Christmas tree, this owl is a beautiful snowy  contrast to the green branches.

We hope that you find this guide helpful and that your holiday season is full of cheer!
