Football Liveblog: Vikings take on Serra in playoff opener

The Palo Alto High School Vikings (8-2-0) will take on the Serra High School Padres (8-2-0) tonight at Hod Ray Field. Check back regularly for live updates throughout the game.
The Padres take a knee to run out the clock. Final score: 52-35.
Chryst calls his own number and runs it in for a touchdown. PAT good, 52-35, Serra, with less than 1 minute in the game.
Redwood runs it in with 2 minutes left, increasing the lead to 52-28.
Turnover on downs, Serra takes over.
Chryst sacked on 3rd and 9, bringing up 4th and 20.
Paly takes over on its own 9 after the punt.
Chryst sacked on 3rd and long, bringing up 4th and 17.
Serra running back explodes down the sideline for a 70-yard touchdown. PAT good, 45-28 Serra with 12 minutes left in the game.
Chryst sacked to end the third quarter, bringing up 3rd and 12.
On 3rd and 9, Tolbert dives past the first down marker after the screen pass from Chryst.
Vikings return the kickoff to their own 27 yard line. 1st and 10, 2 minutes left in the third quarter.
Serra running back hurdles a Paly defender en route to a touchdown. PAT good, 38-28 with 2:27 to go in the third quarter.
On 2nd and 8, Redwood busts out a 24 yard carry, taking it to the Paly 40.
Chryst punts it down to the Serra 27 yard line, a 31 yard punt.
On 3rd and 4, Chryst throws it away.
Padres kickoff to the Vikings, who return it to their own 24 yard line.

On 3rd and 2, Redwood converts for a first down.

A series of runs takes the Padres out to the Paly 31 with just under two minutes to go.
On 3rd and 7, Redwood rushes for 20 yards to the Serra 40 for a first down.
The Vikings kick off to the Padres, who return it to their 15 yard line.
Another pass complete to D. Williams goes for 25 yards and a touchdown. With the PAT, the score is 28-21 Vikings with less than four minutes to go in the half.
Pass complete to D. Williams for 17 yards and a first down to the 25 yard line of Serra.
On 3rd and 11, the Padres fail to convert and punt to the Vikings. The Vikings will start their drive at around midfield.
