Club Day invites students to join various clubs, organizations

Palo Alto High School students signed up for one, two — and in some cases up to 10 or more — clubs of their choice while enjoying a sunny day, extended lunch, and the opportunity to join a club during Club Day on Friday. From the Friends of Millard Fillmore to the Paly Improv Troupe, any and all interests were covered among the selection of over 55 different clubs.

Sophomore Emma Chiu advertises for the Paly Democrats Club. The extended lunch brought students out to enjoy the sunshine and get a taste of the many options available for them to join clubs this year. -

Palo Alto firefighters came to increase student participation in the Palo Alto Fire Department Explorer Program. The program gives an opportunity for local youth to work with firefighters, emergency medical technicians and paramedics to learn how to give CPR and other emergency medical support, as well as respond to real emergencies with firefighters and paramedics. -
Junior Ji In Park advertises for the YCS-Youth Community Service-Club on the Quad during Club Day's extended lunch. -
The Paly Robotics Club demonstrates one of their robots for students during Club Day. The robot, moving independently, tossed a ball up and down, impressing the crowd of students that surrounded the demonstration. -
Paly Sports Boosters sells Paly clothing and gear to students on the Quad during the extended lunch. -
Ilana Baer and Micayla Brewster of the Agape Christian Club draw in members with their colorful signage. Along with the Jewish Student Union, these clubs were the only religious clubs among over 55 club offerings.
